Volunteering at Swim Meets

Our team has a swim meet volunteering requirement. It takes many volunteers to run a swim meet. The volunteer coordinators will send out volunteer registration information.

All families are required to work at least one shift per swimmer (with a maximum of two shifts) at each meet their swimmer enters. Jobs for all meets include timer, scorer, runner, and managing swimmers in the ready area. For home meets, we need additional volunteers for Friday night and Saturday morning setup, Saturday post-meet take down, and concessions. If you're not sure how to do a job, don't worry -- we'll teach you!

Yes we can sign off volunteer hours for NHS/ NJHS. So if there are kids out there that want to help with being a runner during the meet, concessions etc we can provide a signed form. Just like any other volunteer they would sign up for a shift, we just need to know so that we can track the hours to know to sign off forms at the end of the meet/season.

Volunteer signup will be open on the website. Look for communication about when it is open. We also must provide stroke and turn judges for all meets, and a starter and referee for home meets. These jobs require training by the Clear Creek Swim League. The next opportunity to join the team of Blue Marlins meet officials will be in early 2026.

Thank you in advance for volunteering! Swim meets are a true team effort and we appreciate your support!
